March 2026 - April 2026
First time to Shikoku, the fourth largest island of Japan and probably the least-known island. The name Shikoku means four provinces - referring to Sanuki (nowadays Kagawa Prefecture), Awa (nowadays Tokushima Prefecture), Tosa (nowadays Kochi Prefecture), and Iyo (nowadays Ehime Prefecture) which were named over a thousand years ago. After landing at Kansai Airport, Isaac took the train to Shikoku, crossing the Seto Inland Sea, visited all four provinces before setting off on a ferry across Bungo Channel to Kyushu (third largest and the name refers to nine provinces - reorganised into 7 prefectures nowadays).
